My Alter - Meditation, Centering, Grounding

I have spent the last few days re-doing my alter. It is a non-religious alter and contains many things I enjoy that help my meditation, grounding, and centering - basically, my escape from the stresses of life! This is my retreat - especially when I cannot escape to the outdoors. Contained in my alter are many things from earth, nature, and special places.



Lots of gemstones, petrified woods, stones and rocks that I have found in special places. Geodes, large shaman stones, moki marbles, quartz crystals (my favorite) - selenite wand with flourite tip (great for charging crystals). Just all sorts of goodies that just resonate with me in my life. Just so you know, the little guy in the far right corner was purchased from downtown Memphis, on Beale Street, in one of those great gift shops -- there is no voodoo going on here. LOL.



I am waiting on a few more items for the center display area and may update my post again when it is completely finished. I also want to get a pretty cloth display to hang on the wall behind it. Haven't decided yet. or maybe I will do a trade with someone to do some artwork for that spot.



I had lots of stuff on this alter but I have decided to keep it less cluttered and for now contains only the items that bring me the most peaceful joy. I do tend to gather lots of this stuff and one day maybe I will have two alters. HA!



Here is where I take the time to do some creative thinking, my spiritual centering, and meditations. My quiet place :-)
